Parent Hub

Neurodiversity in Schools (NDiS) Project 
The Neurodiversity in Schools project is an initiative designed to improve educational experiences and outcomes for children and young people with Neurodiversity. This project focuses on creating inclusive learning environments by providing specialised training for educators, implementing evidence-based teaching strategies, and ensuring tailored support services.  

By fostering collaboration among school staff, parent/carers, and professionals, the Neurodiversity in Schools project aims to promote understanding, adopt a needs led approach, and improve academic and social outcomes for children and young people with Neurodiversity.  

As of 2024, 21 schools in Portsmouth have signed up to be part of the project.   

The Neurodiversity Parent Hub 
The Parent Hub is designed as part of the Neurodiversity in Schools project (NDiS) to provide a safe and supportive space for parent carers, offering access to relevant information, support, resources, and training tailored to the needs of parent/carers at the schools. 

As of 2024, there are 21 parent hubs in Schools across the city and a parent hub session is held once every half term for of children/young people in the school.
